Looking for new Guildies

Talked with our GM (Tealin) about this idea and he is all for it.  I want you to roll a DK on the Alliance side of the Azgalor PVP server.

If you join our guild and level to level 70, we will pay you 1000g.  Ordo Solaris is a social raiding guild.  We're looking to progress but we are not the guild that will wipe 400 times straight on Heroic Rag 25 just get a world first.

We're level 25, have 7 tabs and are almost to the 8th.  You can post a reply here with your toon name or hit me up when I am online.

I can invite on most toons and I do not mind swapping over to my main to invite you if needed.  I have several toons on the alt account who are in the mid 60s so runs are not out of the question either.

I enjoy running toons through instances as long as I get rep.

Give Ordo Solaris a try.  You just might stay!

Getting there!

Just made 80 flasks...not too hard as I had my daughter helping me farm!  I hit Shimmering Expanse and she hits Uldum.  Between us, we can make probably 100 flasks an hour if we try.  Ordo Solaris has been the best guild so far I've been in (since Dec 2006).

Not sure if I will ever truly raid but the cauldron will help the guild!

Guild applications

Saw an interesting thing the other night in trade chat and to me it made perfect sense.  It seems a certain guild was recruiting for serious players, etc, and wanted applicants to go to its website and fill out an application.

That brought out more than one troll!  Unfortunately I had to log but it left me with a few thoughts as to why the guild was right to ask for serious players, and to fill out an application.

The guild in question is one of the oldest raiding guilds on Azgalor and is currently in the top 10 on server.  That being said, serious players will take the time to explain things were they can be seen by the entire guild, aka why are you leaving your current guild, what do you want from XYZ guild, etc. 

The non-serious players, OS10 3D burn ninjas, and those who are interested in clearing out the guild bank won't do that.  That is what serious guilds like this avoid entirely.  Although it's probably happened, leading guilds don't get their bank cleared out by noobs who join the guild.  From what I have seen, it's always an inside job or a hacker.

So far, I've had one level 12 player join the guide and appriciate him coming in.  If he's on today, I'll offer him a few stocks runs!

The challenge...

Well, after rejoining Trail Biters and seeing people did not have many achievement points, I decided I needed to get some of them off their butts.

I am offering 1k gold to the next toon to hit 5k Achievement points.  I'm #1 and #2.  My daughter, thanks to me dragging her around, is #3.  The GM, a good friend, is #4.

I further added some cash to the pot by saying if anyone can beat Flutterkicks to 5k, I'll give them 1k gold as well.

I'll post updates every so often.  I started this a week ago and Flutter already got 150 points.  I ain't screwing around so people better get busy.  I'll update every 10 days or so to see if anyone really cares...lol

Some history

Well, with the coming of Cataclysm, my raiding guild was slowly dying.  I loved Primus Pilus, they took me in with my shadow priest because they had no priest at all for Toc 10/25.  Being the only level 80 priest in the guild, I geared up pretty quick.  This was sometime back in late 2009 I think.  When ICC opened up, I was kicked to the curb unless they really needed me.  I was in Hawaii at the time and my latency kinda hurt me.  I averaged something like 350-400 on most days.

After moving to South Korea in Dec 2009, I remember one Saturday afternoon in June 2010 I was not able to raid due to a hangover (lol).  I got on finally and checked what kind of progress was made on the ICC 25 and low and behold, they wiped on Marrowgar!  Alot of QQ'ing, bitching, and name calling were still going on in ventrilo, all the while 17 toons (plus alts) quit the guild.  Kinda glad I had the hangover!

Needless to say, it's April 2011 now, and the guild is down to about 75 players.  I've pulled all but one from there because I still have some loyalty to the guys that took a chance on me.

Most toons are in a guild called Prisoners of Warcraft.  Not overly impressed with them but it's a home for now.  Two others are in Trail Biters, a social/leveling guild.  I've been hopping back and forth with them for a few years.  Friendly bunch and always willing to help.  Due to the amount of help I've received from them over the years, anytime a decent item drops (even l333 BOE blues), I'll send it to their GM as a token of thanks.

Got another in a guild called Excelsior (think I spelled it right) with the last one in Jentry Fan Club, the largest guild on server (alliance side at least).

That's it for now, I think I've slacked off enough at work for today.
